OTTAWA, Ontario, November 15, 2024 – Award-winning, Ottawa based mobile game developer-publisher, Magmic, is excited to announce that on Friday, November 15th the company will celebrate Philanthropy Day. As part of this initiative, Magmic’s talented team will be participating in a series of volunteer activities throughout the month to support organizations in need giving back to the community.
Philanthropy Day is a time for the Magmic team to come together and make a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. Over the past year, Magmic has proudly supported a range of incredible organizations, including Cornerstone Housing for Women, the Vancouver Pride Society, and the CN Cycle for CHEO, donating our time, resources, and funds to help those in need. We are proud to continue this tradition and aim to make an even bigger impact in 2024.
This year, two of Magmic’s team members are spearheading efforts to support local causes:
- Zoe Chisolm, Producer, will lead an initiative to support the Kanata Food Cupboard by donating food items for the pantry on Philanthropy Day, November 15th. The food donations will help ensure that families in need have access to nutritious meals during the colder months.
- Aiganym Baigonys, Graphic Designer & 3D Artist, is organizing a donation for Chez Doris, a Montreal-based organization that provides essential services to women in need, including shelter, food, and support assisting the organization’s ongoing mission to help women overcome homelessness and hardship.
“Philanthropy Day is a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to our local communities. It’s inspiring to see how much our team cares about these causes, and we hope that our contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people they serve,” said Magmic CEO and President, Mo Agha.

In addition to these specific initiatives, the company will be organizing several other volunteer activities throughout the month of November to further engage with and support local charities and organizations.
